NOW & AFTER. MOSCÚ

International Videoart Festival Now&After has been carried out in Moscow since 2011. Now&After focuses on presentation, development and promotion both Russian and international video art, getting together emerging and established artists from around the world to present their works to general audience. Traditionally the festival takes place at museum's space, where during few weeks the festival program is being demonstrated as a multi-channel video installation. Now&After was held at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, at the State Museum of Gulag History and at the Schusev State Museum of Architecture. In 2016 the sixth edition of the festival Now&After’16 takes place at The State Darwin Museum from October 22 till November 29. The festival is organized by non-profit organization Media Art Centre Now&After and collaborates with cultural organizations in Russia and abroad presenting its collections nationally and internationally. Founding director/curator of International Video Art Festival Now&After is Marina Fomenko.

IN DEEP ECOLOGY

The Now&After'16 theme is "Ecology without Borders". Ecology studies the interaction between organisms and their communities with each other and the environment. “In Deep Ecology” collection artists concern a subtle balance of relationships in which the existence of humans and all living beings is dependent on the existence of each other and they all are a part of living earth, a part of the world around us. Deep ecology's philosophy core principle is the belief that the living environment as a whole should be respected and regarded as having certain inalienable rights to live.
