    NETWORKED SOCIETY AND SOCIALS NETWORKS

The development of the European Global Network will serve as a nexus between networks and sectors involved in Art, Culture, Science, Innovation, Technology, Enterprise, Institutions and Society frames within the Strategic Plan for driving Digital Culture and Knowledge Society, which forms part of the project, www.emc27.eu

If we want to be involved in the opportunities that the technological revolution offers us and to respond to the changes in social and economic paradigms emerging from the digital era (as well as being stronger when we emerge from the current economic downturn), it is fundamental to implement network spaces that will strengthen mutual knowledge and opportunities for collaboration, coordination and the co-production of projects and the generation of contents, of dissemination and accessibility, offering responses to the current and future needs of a true Knowledge Society.

The effective coordination of policies, not only in culture but also in science, innovation, technology and society, that will favour the development of an innovative economic fabric, avoiding the digital gap and social exclusion. It will make it possible to approach information and communication technologies in relations between administrations, organisations and users and the development of a creative and culturally advanced society that will feel involved in its own future, today.

The European Global Network, a nexus between networks, will drive the stable and collaborative alliance between Art, Science, Innovation, Technology, Business, Institutions, and Society, favouring the development of cultural, scientific and technological industries that will generate more wealth and knowledge. It will offer advance technological resources and information that is continuously being updates, maximising its creative and professional relationship. It will open up the compartmentalised monopolies (traditional in our education, cultural and economic systems) that prevent shared development in all areas of knowledge.

STRUCTURE


It will consist of a public space and a private/professional space. It will offer various services and resources related to art, culture, science, innovation, technology companies and other sectors related to digital culture.

In the public area, information will be offered on:

-Activities recommended by the European Global Network
-Projects or activities in production phase.
-Search for Resources
-News on meetings and conferences, training, calls etc.

In the private area, each agent for the sectors mentioned above will have codes to a virtual space in which they will be able to access and manage all information that could be of use to their area of work or activities through technological resources that will offer web 2.0 and the possibility to indicate their preferences or interests and contact other interested sectors directly.

SERVICES


On-line Information.
Information and fluid and constant communication between all innovative sectors of society, incentivising their active involvement: news, resources, activities, innovative proposals and projects emerging from Spain and Europe. There will also be a management area, television, radio, forum, email service, blog, newsletter etc.

Training and studies. To enable courses and workshops online for a better understanding of the tools and technology and their application in all areas of knowledge and the economy.

Projects, Development of Cultural and Scientific Networks and Infrastructures. Interconnection between the cross-cutting and collaborative networks that will strengthen artistic, cultural, scientific, innovative, technological, corporative, social and institutional networks. Member will be able to carry out their own collaborative projects, using the European Global Network for all the information and resources they need.

Forum for debate and communication. It will support research and the holding of forums and conferences both online and venue-based, that will promote debate, reflection and development of initiatives related to the creation and distribution of high quality digital content through networks. It will also promote research and innovation. Partners will be able to exchange experiences and knowledge and share them with other experts.

Public Network

Public Administrations and other organisations, corporations and society will jointly offer an operative platform with an up-to-date database and nexus between networks that will facilitate access to information produced in Europe and the rest of the world in art, science, technological innovation etc. in order to incentivise collaboration and the exchange of knowledge between all innovative sectors within Europe.

Professional Network

Aimed specifically at establishing a network of European agents from institutions, the art world, culture, science, technological innovation, universities, businesses etc. in order to exchange information and knowledge that will help to establish agreements more rapidly to support collaboration and co-production on specific innovative projects.

MAIN OBJETIVES:


To promote
mechinisms for communication and collaboration between all sectors of society related to innovation and digital culture within the European Union. Syndication of portals, coordination among different existing networks and the addition of content guaranteeing its maintenance and management.

Strengthen and Promote the development of infrastructures in culture, science and technological innovation and to create and inform audiences within creative and scientific sectors.

Drive the transfer between Art, Science, Innovation, Technology, Business and Society, fundamental pillars for the development and consolidation of what has been called the “knowledge economy”. The initiative that is being presented aims to develop mechanisms that will support stable collaborative alliances between the different sectors.

Establish paths of communication between the different agents involved in the development of policies in the different areas and the organisation of forums and debates.

Collaborate with universities, research and development centres, creators, technology innovation businesses, institutions etc for facilitating research, exchange of information and coproduction.

Support public administrations and organisations in their communication with individuals.

Guarantee quality, stability, maintenance and constant updating, the application of new technological advances and widen the the European current framework. Use will be made of synergies and economies of scale where they occur and will facilitate more simple and financially viable for citizens, institutions and companies accessing to online information and communication, to the contents and digital resources.

 

EUROPEAN GLOBAL NETWORK Target Groups


General Public. To all those who want up to date information. They will be able to access constantly updated information related to the cultural, scientific and technological sectors.

Members: Working area to access information that will help to ensure that their activities are more effective.

Artists, institutions, cultural managers, producers, distributors: The European Global Network will be a direct link between the different agents that are involved in the sectors described. They will be able to subscribe on the site in order to be included in all proposals. At the same time, through the Network, they will be able to access all information related to members as well as news on and calls, training, festivals, etc. that may be of interest.

Cultural and Scientific Institutions, Universities, Companies, Research Development and Innovation Centres: agents involved in these sectors will be able to publish their data on the directory, as well as information and requirements for collaboration and coproduction of projects.
