Project: Between Fortune and Despair
Closeness, the fortune of a tender lover. Playful lightness of an
encounter. Dreams of warmth turning into the desperation of attachment.
Submerged nightmares of blurry drowning. This video was produced for
the 2010 Film Kitchen Invitational program. It premiered at the Harris
Theater in Pittsburgh during the Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 2010.
It was the result of the creative collaboration between choreographer
Staycee Pearl, musician/composer Colter Harper, and director Carolina
Loyola-Garcia.

Project: Insônia
Una mujer está acostada en su cama. La molestia que perturba su sueño toma forma en su cuerpo. Un delicado juego de tensión y distensión de los músculos de la cintura escapular crea una coreografía de micro-gestos que genera formas inusuales en su cuerpo. El movimiento de la lente, el enfoque y desfoco conduce la mirada del espectador en esta inusual coreografia. El sonido original crea una atmósfera de suspensión. El ritmo de la danza ocurre por medio de la edición. Con este nuevo trabajo, Domenico desafía, una vez más, los límites de la danza y crea una coreografía que sólo podía existir en la pantalla.

Project: IN-ner Space revisited
Abandoned place with layers of colour : each room a different silent story. The wind comes in through broken windows as outside birds are singing. Inside : I hear my breath, my steps. I am alone here and my heart beats fast so I dance. I dance with my fears." "IN-ner Space revisited" is a short experimental video dance (6:59min); a reflection on and reaction to the fractured memories of a transient hospital community long departed from this abandoned place where now shadows of experience reside in the decaying remains of once majestic architecture. More specifically this work started as a site specific improvised performance for camera made in Beelitz- Heilstaetten (Germany), TB clinic and sanatorium turned military hospital where both Hitler and Honecker were patients. Now an abandoned, haunting, eerie place; shrouded in mystery, occupied by the accumulated memories of thousands of patients. The dance is a spontaneous reaction to the fragmented memories hidden within the walls and the effects both a metaphor and communications channel for the myriad distressed psyches informing the performance.

Se trata de un hombre atrapado en el túnel de sus pensamientos. Los
movimientos y posiciones que realiza son pequeños cuadros que reflejan
el transitar dentro de sí mismo, donde solo es guiado por las
alucinaciones del encierro. Algunos animales logran entrar, solo para
recordarle que afuera del túnel otro mundo existe. Cylindrical
Synopsis
(English) Its about a man traped in the tunel of his thoughts. The
movements and positions he does are small squares that reflect the walk
inside himself in wich he is only guided by the hallucinations of his
imprisonment. Some animals can get inside, only to remember that there
is another world outside.
