Project: Garbage Glitter, Pt. 2
Selected garbage clips, such as counters, leaders, scratches, burns,
dust and random visuals accidentally created over time, have been
gathered from discarded Americana educational and industrial films and
re-assembled into four minutes of colorful, glittering abstraction.
This non-narrative mishmash - loosely constructed to mimic the formula
and pace of a movie- has been constructed to create a purely sensory
experience personal to the viewer.

Project: Candy Heart Ransom Love Letters
In five complicated and unsettling steps this video is a full-blown parody of a relationship from the blissful beginning to its woeful end. A remix of two naive young couples from industrial films highlight a recurrent path as they travel through typical dysfunctional love affairs. The main headliners, however, are candy hearts, unseen text messagers and deceptive ransom love notes that facilitate typical expressions of amorous doom.

Project: Auroville Dream [Tales From the City]
Virtual, real and imaginary locations are collaged together to form
multi-layered 3D structures which rapidly transform over time. City
visuals merge with floating YouTube videos and disembodied voices; a
Street View screencast video reveals futuristic tree-clad architecture;
pop-up time-lapse recordings reveal models of geodesic domes placed
directly into Google Earth by the artist. Another scene perpetually
rotates around a complex and ambiguous landscape inspired by a fuzzy
JPEG found on the Web, showing an aerial view of a faraway settlement
named Auroville, India - All emphasize the fragmented nature of found
material, sourced within the ubiquitous circulation of images.

Project: The Passage
"The
Passage" was shot in three locations across Europe (Prague, Berlin and
Kefalonia) and explores places that resemble each other and yet are
profoundly distinct. It's a piece where memories overlap and diverge,
and we encounter a continuous rhythm of repetition and novelty. "The
Passage" is an internal journey as much as it is an external one and we
observe what it means to be a cultural wanderer. The artist passes
through life with the lens of the perpetual migrant who gets small
glimpses of familiarity and home. It's an initiatory passage into a
perception of "no home and at home everywhere". We ultimately put
together the puzzle pieces of our individual passages and thus bridge
the gap between seemingly different times and spaces.

Proyecto: Rose
Rose, this silent video consists solely of layered photos of a rose.
Everything seems to float from one state to the next, like a wave, a
moment of respiration that ends in final exhalation. The eye, focus of
the camera revolves around the increasingly fleshy petals; it shows
pearls of moisture like dew, like beads of body fluids. The camera
slowly gets closer as if to penetrate the blossom, to reveal its inside
like a microscope. This intense moment is brief and the steady
transformation continues until the flower closes back onto itself,
fades and finally turns pallid until swallowed by a white light.

Project: A Bird's Tale
This short film combine history, politics and current events with
levity and witty irreverence. This is subversive and a comment on the
human condition itself offering the viewer a behind-the-scenes look at
the heroic and the rational. Most of my subjects are familiar but
recontextualized. In what they encompass or allude to, these works
transcend the merely comically grotesque or the quest for objectivity.
