Project: Solastalgia

Solastalgia is a concept created by environmental philosopher Glenn Albrecht to define a feeling of unease tied to the upheavals and mutations we are experiencing today. It is the homesickness we may feel when we are still at home, but our familiar surroundings have grown strange to us. Nowadays, this state of loss of bearings seems to become generalized under the pressure of heightened development. In the Anthropocene Era, affected as we are by the rising world population, climate change, and the transformation of our ecosystems, this may be a form of latent distress that haunts us all.

Project: Surface recess repeat (SRR)

SRR (surface-recess-repeat) follows one character as she explores her own dreamscape- part virtual reality, part video game and part grounded in physical reality. SRR reflects an increased control on the world(s) we choose to explore and navigate within technology and patriarchy. Escapism, recreation, and physical vitality can be more thoroughly expressed in self-made, autonomous virtual landscapes.

Project: Mmmm

Using a compilation of voice and visual techniques, live video and animated video stills, Mmmmm is a humourous exploration of the sound and the letter M. M is one of the first sounds a baby makes. It is also believed to be the first sound in the first words humans used as languages developed.

Project: Entro(SCO)pie

A video/experience, intimate and extreme, inside a glacier affected by global warming. In the manner of an endoscopic camera probing human organs, a strange character explores the cavities excavated by melting ice. Like a foreign body, the figure travels to the depths, revealing the inner metamorphosis of the site while transforming himself. In this metaphorical crossing, between a performative act, a challenging physical experience and a reconstructed imaginary experience, the body reveals the fragility of this natural environment, one that humans are making disappear.

Project: Escales

is the result of the manipulation of electronic signals using digital means. Electricity, as raw material, is being sculpted, transformed and altered to be reborn as architecture. The video depicts an immersive environment where hallucinated spaces unfurl like automated mirages, and invite the viewers to project themselves inside this ever-evolving space, continuously transforming and morphing into new environments.
